Warranty Information

Startwell Engineering UK Ltd. provide warranty repair for twelve months (twenty four months for PREMIUM range) from the date of dispatch. We may, at our discretion , give a complete replacement in certain circumstances, subject to an examination of the failed starter.

Under normal circumstances the starter must be returned, by the purchaser, to our local appointed service outlet, in the country concerned. On our behalf the local service outlet will inspect and report the nature of the fault , in order for us to authorise a warranty repair.

In the event that no local service outlet were available, the starter may be returned by the purchaser to our factory in England, where it would be inspected for warranty repair. If a faster turn round were necessary we may, at our discretion, provide an immediate replacement, against the undertaking of the purchaser to return the faulty starter to us for Warranty inspection. In such circumstances the replacement starter would be invoiced at the then current price plus carriage. After receipt and examination of the faulty starter a credit note would be sent, either for the full amount or part thereof as the circumstances dictate. This credit note may be set against the original invoice and the net amount remitted.

If the starter fault was found to be caused by negligent use by the purchaser (for example, fitting to incorrect engine; winding and tripping while not being fitted to any engine; dismantling by unauthorised persons) then the warranty would be negated. The full cost of replacement would be payable by the purchaser.

In all Warranty cases we pay the return carriage cost (i.e. one way only)
